  • GATOA received a Certificate of Competency from Walthers Destination Management Company for their efficiency during the Megafest.


  • There was a request by 6 Provinces for GATOA representation, indicating the way forward could be an establishment of a national body.

WHAT'S NEW??
THE FOLLOWING PROPSALS FOR JOBS HAVE BEEN CONCLUDED

4th World Summit on Arts and Culture , 21 - 24 Sept 2009, 300 pax to be transferred between summit venue in Newtown and accommodation in Rosebank.

Tent City Project, 04 June 2010 – 16 July 2010, will provide a maximum of 1120 pax of 18 - 25 years old backpackers to be transferred to and from Waverley. Tours will be availed for them also.

International Broadcasting Centre, May 2010, where 18 000 Journalist and broadcasters are expected. This one is a make it or break it for us in terms of good customer service delivery, as it will give a positive or negative reflection of the country throughout the world through thereports the journalists will field.
